Scheu & Kniss prides itself on “one time quoting”. We will not quote blindly to win a project and ask for additional money later. Scheu & Kniss will issue budgetary quotations as an initial guideline for project justifications. However, the true condition of a piece of equipment can not be determined until it is disassembled and inspected. After a Scheu & Kniss technician is able to disassemble and inspect the equipment in our facility, customers receive a detailed quotation listing every item on the press that is out of specifications. Customers are encouraged to review the project in our facility to determine the full scope of work to be done. Once the project is approved, the rebuild team will meet and launch the project. This ensures that everyone involved in your project knows your expectations and how we will accomplish them.

Scheu & Kniss is a full service facility. With the exception of cleaning and special coatings such as nickel plating, all aspects of a project including disassembly, re-machining of castings, welding, electrical, painting and assembly, are accomplished in our Louisville Kentucky plant. Scheu & Kniss is also equipped to perform acceptance runs of your non-hazardous product prior to shipment to your facility.
